Astrid Lackner spent her childhood roaming in the forests of the Austrian alps, and after graduating from a kindergarten teacher institute, she travelled the world until her love for the mountains brought her to Squamish, B.C. Through parenting her own two daughters, she discovered Squamish Waldorf School in 2002, when the school was in its inception. With much enthusiasm and lots of help she headed the pre-school and parent/child programs, and has been teaching and learning since. She became an assistant teacher with the faculty at the West Coast Institute for Anthroposophy in 2016 and hopes to continue her quest to learn and share her enthusiasm for Waldorf education. Her passion however, will always be with the little ones, who have so much to teach.
