Orchid Fowler has been working with children ages 2-12 for more than 14 years and has been a leader in her community as director of multiple outdoor Waldorf-inspired programs in Oregon and Washington state. Orchid received a Bachelor’s From UCSC in Social Justice in Education Studies by completing her undergraduate thesis on the topic of positive white anti-racist identity development through engaged pedagogy in the classroom. In 2005 Orchid volunteered with PeaceGames in Boston, teaching children in inner-city public schools the tools to verbally and socially deescalate conflict and violence. She is a Certified Waldorf Early-Childhood Educator and graduate of the Micha-el Institute in Portland, OR. In 2013 Orchid completed a foundation year in the Art of Eurythmy at The American Eurythmy School in Mt. Shasta, CA. She currently lives with her husband in Tacoma, WA.
